Top 10 Books Written by Indian Cricketers

Just like cricket, every day in life is different from the day before. These books about famous Indian cricketers show exactly how to face every problem with determination and a positive attitude. India’s 2019 World Cup run is over because they lost to New Zealand in the Semi Final. But India as a team is still doing well, so all is not yet lost. Not every day is the same, and batsmen can get out on zero and bowlers can get a lot of runs on odd days.

Life is full of ups and downs, and you need to keep your mind on the task at hand and keep yourself motivated at all times. These books about Indian cricketers show how they met every challenge with a positive attitude and a strong will:

    1. Playing it my Way (Sachin Tendulkar):

It makes sense that Sachin Tendulkar deserves some of the credit for the rise and popularity of Indian cricket. Sachin is known as the “God of Cricket,” and his career as a cricket player has taught us a lot. In this book, he talks about how he became a good cricket player and what drove him to do so well and do it over and over again. Sachin Tendulkar wrote about everything in this book, from his first match to his decision to leave the world of cricket. It will blow your mind.

    2. Captain Cool: The M.S. Dhoni Story:

Dhoni is not just a smart and skilled captain who makes you laugh by hitting helicopter sixes or throwing a batsman out of the game with a backhand throw. Behind the background of his flamboyant is a difficult story that you need to know. Dhoni is from Ranchi, and it’s amazing to think about how he went from being a ticket collector to being the captain of the Indian Cricket National Team.

    3. A Century Is Not Enough (Sourav Ganguly):

Sourav Ganguly is thought to be India’s best captain, and his path to success in cricket has been like a roller coaster. He showed the Indian team how to play as a team and with confidence. The Indian team took on a new look when he was in charge. He showed the Indian team how to win games in other countries. But when Greg Chappel was hired as the Indian coach, things got worse for Ganguly. Ganguly tells everything in this book, from how he left the team in a controversial way to how he came back and did well.

    4. Yuvraj Singh the Test of My Life

Yuvraj Singh’s book, “The Test of My Life,” is about his journey from cricket to cancer and back to cricket. This amazing book is about the life of Yuvraj Singh. It will not only inspire you, but it will also push you to keep going in life, no matter how hard things get. If you want to know what you can learn from cricket, this book about Yuvraj Singh is the answer.

    5. 281 and Beyond (VVS Laxman)

Even someone who doesn’t care much about cricket would remember India’s epic win over Australia in the 2001 test match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. VVS Laxman scored 281 runs in that game. This book, written by VVS Laxman himself, is about what he learned and what went wrong while he was being taught by John Wright and Greg Chappel.

    6. Wide Angle (Anil Kumble):

Remember when Anil Kumble took 10 wickets against Pakistan in a test match? If you look closely at Kumble’s journey in cricket, there is a lot more than that. Do you know that he loves taking pictures? Yes, he is a passionate photographer, and this book has all of his best pictures so you can see cricket from a different point of view.

    7. A Biography of Rahul Dravid:

Rahul Dravid is known as “The Wall” because of how long he can stay at the wicket and how well he does it. Dravid is also liked for how he acts, how he deals with stress, and how well he handles pressure. This book has stories about important interviews, memoirs, and getting back together with old teammates. Each story will teach you a new lesson about how to run your life.

  • One of the Brilliant Moments of Indian Cricketers

One of the Brilliant Moments of Indian Cricketers

Brilliant Moments: Every cricket player who plays for his country wants to be well-known. He goes out on the field with a burning desire to change the game forever and win over fans and admirers. Over the years, cricket has produced a lot of famous players, like Sir Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Joel Garner, Wasim Akram, and many more.

Click Here for IPLT20 Records: IPL T20 RECORDS     Click Here for Official T20 World Cup Site: News on T20 World Cup

The list keeps growing, and it looks like modern cricket players like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, and James Anderson will also end their careers as some of the best of our time. But not everyone can get to the top.

Behind every Tendulkar and Anderson, there are many stories of people who showed promise but couldn’t make it big on the international stage.

In this feature, we talk about cricketers who didn’t have a lot of success on the international level, but had some great moments that put them in the history books.

    #1 Joginder Sharma:

Brilliant Moments: Joginder Sharma, who was from Haryana and had a slow-to-medium pace, only played four ODIs and four T20Is for India. But he threw a ball that was one of the most important in the history of Indian cricket.

He was the one who took Misbah-ul-last Haq’s wicket in the thrilling 2007 T20 World Cup final between Pakistan and South Africa.

Misbah’s death led to wild celebrations all over India, and Joginder became a hero overnight. He never played for India again, which is ironic, and he ended his international career with five wickets in eight T20Is and ODIs combined.

    #2 Balwinder Sandhu:

Brilliant Moments: He could be called India’s first World Cup hero who only played one game. Balwinder Sandhu, a right-handed medium-pacer from Mumbai, helped India beat the West Indies in the 1983 World Cup final at Lord’s.

The legendary Gordon Greenidge was bowled by the former pacer, who sent in a sharp ball that made Greenidge raise his arms.

The wicket made India think they could beat the powerful Windies, and Kapil Dev’s team went on to win the cricket world cup.

    #3 Hrishikesh Kanitkar:

Brilliant Moments: Indian cricket fans who grew up in the 1990s will always remember the name Hrishikesh Kanitkar. The deciding final of the 1998 Independence Cup in Dhaka (the third of three) was very close. Kanitkar, on the other hand, kept his cool and hit a boundary off of Saqlain Mushtaq to help India win as the light was going out.

Kanitkar stayed unbeaten with 11 runs out of 12 balls as India chased down 315 runs with one ball left. The fact that the young left-hander won against Pakistan, India’s biggest cricket rival, made him an even bigger hero.

    #4 Asif Mujtaba:

Brilliant Moments: Asif Mujtaba was a left-handed batsman for Pakistan who played 25 Tests and 66 ODIs over a period of ten years. But even though he had many chances and was clearly talented, he never made it big in international cricket.

Mujtaba’s name will always be linked to the six he hit off Steve Waugh’s last ball in an ODI in Hobart, Australia, in December 1992.

The Pakistani cricketer hit Waugh for 16 runs in that over, and when he hit a six over midwicket, it tied the tense game.

    #5 Ricardo Powell:

Brilliant Moments: Ricardo Powell was a typical West Indian batsman who loved to hit the ball hard. But he ended up getting a name for being a restless slogger. Powell’s one great moment on the cricket field was in the 1999 final of a tri-series against India in Singapore.

West Indies was 67 for 4 while trying to get to 255. Powell, on the other hand, came in at No. 6 and played one of the most brutal knocks in the history of one-day cricket.

He hit 124 runs in 93 balls by hitting 9 fours and 8 sixes against a good bowling team that included Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad.

    #6 Mike Veletta:

Brilliant Moments: Mike Veletta wasn’t able to make a big difference in Australian cricket. But he was a big reason why Australia won the World Cup in 1987 in Kolkata. When he came to bat at No. 6, he hit six fours and a smart 45 not out of only 31 balls.

Australia beat England in the final by going over 250 thanks to Veletta’s cameo. In hindsight, it was a big hit because the Aussies won their first cricket World Cup with a close 7-run win.

    #7 Rajesh Chauhan:

Brilliant Moments: Rajesh Chauhan’s career as an off-spinner for India was hampered by questions about how he threw the ball. And in most of the games he played in, Anil Kumble was better than him. Surprisingly, it was the willow that gave him his moment of glory.

In an ODI against Pakistan in Karachi in 1997, Saqlain Mushtaq was holding the ball when India needed eight to win. Everyone wanted Chauhan to give the strike to the right batsman, Robin Singh, but he was on strike.

    #8 Sameer Dighe:

Brilliant Moments: Sameer Dighe, from Mumbai, played for India for a short time. He will always be remembered as the person who had one of the most important cameos in Indian cricket history. India was 135 for 7 in the final Test of the famous 2001 series against Australia. They needed to score 155 runs to win. The hosts looked like they were about to miss a great chance to beat the strong Aussies.

Dighe, who has played domestic cricket for a long time, kept his cool and kept nudging and pushing India toward the goal.

The wicketkeeper-22 batsman’s runs off 48 balls kept India in the game until Harbhajan Singh hit two runs off Glenn McGrath to get India over the finish line.

     #9 Collis King:

Brilliant Moments: Collis King, who used to play cricket for the West Indies, played nine Tests and 18 ODIs during a career that was nothing special.

He was good at hitting, though. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have been able to outshine Sir Viv Richards when they played together, especially in the 1979 World Cup final against England at Lord’s.

West Indies was batting first in the final match, and when King walked in, they were at 99 for 4. He hit like a king and got 86 runs in just 66 balls. The big hitter hit 10 fours and 3 sixes to put West Indies in the lead, while the England bowlers could only watch in amazement.

    #10 Anthony Stuart:

Brilliant Moments: How many cricket players have gotten a hat-trick in a one-day game and then never played for their country again?

Anthony Stuart, a former Australian medium-pacer, may be the only name on the list. In an ODI against Pakistan in Melbourne in January 1997, he took 5 wickets for 26 runs.

With the third, fourth, and fifth balls of his sixth over, Stuart got rid of Ijaz Ahmed, Mohammad Wasim, and Moin Khan, giving him a famous “hat-trick.”

Australia won the game by three wickets, and he was even named man of the match.

  • Top 10 Highest Paid Cricketers in the World 2023

Top 10 Highest Paid Cricketers in the World 2023

Highest Paid Cricketers: With the rise of big cricket tournaments like the IPL, the best players are now getting paid a lot of money. If you’ve ever been curious about who the highest earners are, here’s a list.

Click Here for IPLT20 Records: IPL T20 RECORDS     Click Here for Official T20 World Cup Site: News on T20 World Cup

Cricketers who earn the most money worldwide (2023):

    1. Virat Kohli:

    Monthly Salary: $690k

    Net Worth: $140 Million

Highest Paid Cricketers: The man who led Indian cricket in all three formats for many years is at the very top of the tree. All of the numbers shown are based on base salary, and Virat Kolhi’s monthly pay of $690k puts him at the top of the list.

When you think about how popular Kohli is, it’s clear that he should be at the top. As the captain of India and a key member of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Premier League for so many years, his fans would say that he’s worth every penny.

    2. Dean Elgar:

    Monthly Salary: $440k

    Net Worth: $40 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Few things on this list are shocking, but Dean Elgar being at number two might be. After all, the IPL teams don’t pick him up, and he’s not seen as a T20 player. Why is T20 here? He brings in the most people and the most money, so why is he here? Elgar is a patient opener who recently took over as captain of the South African test team. He has been a part of the international limited-overs team, but now his main job is to lead the red ball unit.

Those salary numbers are actually very interesting because they show how much money there is in all versions of the modern game.

    3. Joe Root:

    Monthly Salary: $400k

    Net Worth: $3.3 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Joe Root is another player in the IPL who doesn’t get much attention. He has never signed with a team, but he has played in the Big Bash and England’s T20. Root just said that he is stepping down as captain of the England test team, which has been his main source of income for a long time.

The fact that he makes $400,000 a month shows how important central contracts are. He scored a lot of runs in the longest form of cricket, and his salary shows young players that they can make money in the first class game.

    4. Eoin Morgan:

    Monthly Salary: $320k

    Net Worth: $15 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: It’s only fair that a captain whose team wins the World Cup should be recognized for his work, and that’s what happened with Eoin Morgan. He has led England in both types of limited-overs games for many years, but 2019 was the best.

The 2019 World Cup win added to the income that was already there from playing in the IPL. Morgan didn’t have an IPL team in 2022, so those numbers may go down, but $320,000 a month is still a lot of money for now.

    5. Rohit Sharma:

    Monthly Salary: $170k

    Net Worth: $25 Million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Rohit Sharma just took over as captain of the Indian national team from Virat Kohli, so he might move up this list soon. Like his predecessor, Rohit is very involved in the IPL. He has been the captain of the Mumbai Indians team for most of their successful time.

Rohit is already pretty far along in his career, and the fact that he just became the national captain means that his salary should go up.

    6. Aaron Finch:

    Monthly Salary: $150k

    Net Worth: $5.5 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Aaron Finch should be on this list because he is the captain of Australia in the limited overs formats. He has also been a regular player in the Indian Premier League for a long time, and in 2022, he will join the Kolkata Knight Riders.

    7. Kraigg Brathwaite:

    Monthly Salary: $80k

    Net Worth: $9 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Some of the facts on this list show how important it must be to be an international captain. Some people may not have heard of Kraigg Brathwaite, but he is the captain of the West Indies in red ball cricket. He is also a very skilled and patient batsman.

Again, his work at the test level shows that there is a lot of money to be made in the red ball version of the game, which gives players in the longer version of the game a reason to get better.

    8. Temba Bavuma:

    Monthly Salary: $70k

    Net Worth: $2.3 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: Temba Bavuma is the captain of South Africa’s limited-overs team. This is a pattern we’ve seen before. Even though he is in charge of the national short-form cricket team, Bavuma is not a player that most T20 franchises around the world think of as a good choice.

This shows again how important central contracts are in all ICC countries. A salary of $70,000 per month is a big number, and it could be enough to keep Bavuma from playing in the IPL or other tournaments if they asked about him.

    9. Kieron Pollard:

    Monthly Salary: $47k

    Net Worth: $15 million

Highest Paid Cricketers: All-round West Indian star Kieron Pollard fits every item on this list. He is the international captain of his team, and he is also a key player in the Indian Premier League and other major T20 tournaments. Pollard is on the most successful team in IPL history, the Mumbai Indians, and he has helped them do some of their best things. He also won the T20 World Cup with the West Indies, so we can expect him to be paid $47,000 and have a net worth of about $15 million.

Kieron Pollard is now in his mid-30s, but because he only plays the shorter forms of the game, we can expect him to stay in the Top Ten earners list for a long time.

    10. Kane Williamson:

    Monthly Salary: $37k

    Net Worth: $10 million

Even though Kane Williamson and Kieron Pollard are very different cricketers, they do a lot of the same things. He is the captain of New Zealand on the international level, and he always plays in the IPL. In 2022, Williamson is in charge of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise, and the New Zealander has played for this team for a while. He is in high demand as a T20 cricket player, but his first commitment is usually to New Zealand.

As a result, Kane Williamson will get a high salary as a contracted player for the national team, and he will also get a lot of money from the Indian Premier League.

  • Top 10 Cricketers with Highest Scores in Yo-Yo Test

Top 10 Cricketers with Highest Scores in Yo-Yo Test

Yo-Yo Test: Cricket players need varied skills; thus fitness is important. Speed and agility are essential for fielding near ropes, rushing between wickets, and bowling swiftly. Thus, all cricket boards emphasize player fitness along with batting and bowling skills. The yo-yo test is a common fitness test. It tests players’ stamina, speed, endurance, and agility. It is calculated by counting shuttles at a certain speed. Speed levels range from 5 (one shuttle) to 23, the highest.

Click Here for IPLT20 Records: IPL T20 RECORDS     Click Here for Official T20 World Cup Site: News on T20 World Cup

Many cricket boards have a Yo-Yo Test score a player must reach to be selected. Several cricketers have easily passed this exam.

The top 10 active cricketers with the highest yo-yo scores are shown below:

    10. Ravindra Jadeja – 19:

Ravindra Jadeja, a top fielder, was included. The captain loves the three-dimensional all-rounder. He bowls accurately and can smash the ball far in the end overs. Jadeja has struggled with bat and ball. However, the southpaw rarely had a terrible game. Jadeja stops the ball whether he’s fielding within the circle or near the boundary ropes. Thus, he has made several spectacular catches and run-outs.

Therefore, Jadeja passes the Yo-Yo Test. He ranks 10th on this list due to his 19-point performances.

    9. Hardik Pandya – 19:

Hardik Pandya joins the list of Indian all-rounders. Pandya, like Jadeja, can play in all three departments, making him an important national team member. Dasher can bowl useful spells and score quick runs in the final overs. Pandya also fields well. Fans are amazed by his speed and ability to make spectacular catches. The fast bowler has also run out numerous batsmen from the boundary ropes with his strong arm.

His Yo-Yo test score is great, but he is injury-prone and has missed games. Pandya, like Jadeja, has 19 points and wants more.

    8. Virat Kohli – 19:

The Indian captain epitomizes cricket fitness. Kohli began training in 2012 to improve his performance. The talismanic cricketer improved with gym and training practice. Kohli is a lively player despite his batting skill. His reflexes and ability to cover ground are unmatched. The seasoned cricketer rarely puffs up or tyres on the pitch.

Kohli also improved Indian cricket’s fitness perspective. Most Indian sportsmen have toned bodies and stomachs. Everyone can’t match Kohli’s fitness. 32-year-old Yo-Yo test score: 19.

    7. Manish Pandey – 19.2:

After talking about Virat Kohli’s health, imagine he has one of the best Yo-Yo scores. His teammate Manish Pandey is too. The right-handed batter has a strong domestic record despite a limited international career. Pandey’s big-hitting has neutralized several powerful bowlers. Pandey can help elsewhere outside hitting. The veteran fielder stands in crucial places. He also has amazing hands for tricky catches.

The 31-year-old earned 19.2 in Yo-Yo testing. Pandey must stay in shape to play at the highest level as the Indian team’s fitness requirements rise.

    6. Kagiso Rabada – 19.2:

The South African cricket squad has struggled recently, and its glory days are unlikely to return. Kagiso Rabada has excelled for them. Right-arm speedster has always helped his team. Fast bowlers are tired, therefore captains usually put them at fine-leg or third-man. Unlike Rabada. Due to his speed, the veteran speedster fields in crucial locations. He has also made stunning catches.

Rabada’s Yo-Yo score proves he’s one of the fittest players. His 19.2 endurance test score shouldn’t surprise anyone.

    5. Mohammad Rizwan – 19.2:

Pakistani sportsmen have been heavily criticized for their fitness. Who could forget the Pakistani fan’s 2019 World Cup rant? Some players are still very fitness-conscious. One is Mohammad Rizwan. After Sarfaraz Ahmed was fired in 2019, the right-hander became Pakistan’s first-choice wicketkeeper across forms. He grabbed the chance and excelled in front and behind the stumps. Wicketkeeping is a thankless profession, but doing hundreds of sit-ups with heavy gear is brutal.

Due to his athleticism, Rizwan has done the job well. With a 19.2 Yo-Yo score, he’s one of Pakistan’s fittest cricketers.

    4. Beth Langston – 19.2:

England’s Beth Langston also makes this list. Even though she hasn’t played internationally, the Essex all-rounder keeps fit. The ECB released a training video of the women’s squad in June 2018. Langston outperformed all other players in fitness. Beth traversed 2080 meters in that film, resulting in a 19.2 yo-yo test score.

It’s a world record. The 28-year-old had the top yo-yo test scores with American soccer player Kelly O’Hara. Langston, who has played for the national team, wants to wear the shirt soon.

    3. Mayank Dagar – 19.3:

Mayank Dagar is also uncapped. Himachal Pradesh domestic cricketer Virender Sehwag’s nephew is 24. Dagar, unlike his uncle, spins. The youngster is fit, but he needs to improve to make the national squad. Dagar announced on Instagram in July 2018 that he has scored 19.3 on the Yo-Yo test. Even Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja haven’t scored this high.

The 24-year-old left-arm spinner must strive hard to represent India at the top. Dagar played for Punjab Kings in the IPL (PBKS).

    2. Jonny Bairstow – 21.8:

Dashing Jonny Bairstow is second in the table. The wicketkeeper-records batsman’s show his importance to England’s white-ball team. Bairstow’s range makes him a threat to bowlers from the start. Bairstow has also kept wickets for England. In ODIs, his field magic draws him to the boundary ropes. He has caught well and saved runs.

Bairstow isn’t lean like most of these folks, but looks can be misleading. Yo-Yo Test score: 21.8.

    1. Shan Masood- 22.1:

Pakistani players have been criticized for poor fitness. Ironically, only a Pakistani tops this list. Shan Masood. Post-“MissYou,” the elegant opener has become a key Pakistan Test player. Masood has scored runs against the world’s finest bowling lineups due to his grit and defense. His fieldwork is equally noteworthy. The southpaw is swift and agile, making him a valuable player.

Seeing his yo-yo test scores confirms that. In 2017, Shan Masood scored 22.1—a Pakistan team record.

Let’s quickly review some of cricket’s greatest global records

    10. Oldest cricketer to play for an international team

The Turkish cricketer Osman Goker holds the record for the oldest international cricket player debut. This is record number 10 on our list of great cricket world records.

Goker set the record on August 29, 2019, when he was 62 years old. When he played his first game for Turkey against Romania Cup at Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Ilfov County, Romania, he was 59 years and 181 days old.

    9. The highest catch in cricket:

We have a female cricketer at number 9 on our list of those who have caught the most cricket balls. Alyssa Healy, an Australian cricketer who is 32 years old, holds this great cricket world record.

At the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, where the record was set, Healy did it. She caught the ball that was thrown from 80 meters up by a drone.

    8. Most watched cricket fixture:

On number 8 of our Fantastic Cricket World Record, we have a match between India and Pakistan, two of the best cricket teams in the world. It’s not a secret that the two countries have a lot of trouble with each other outside of sports.

Because of this, when the two countries play each other in an ICC event, a lot of people show up to watch. The most-anticipated match at the 2019 World Cup in Manchester was their match.

    7. Cricketer who scored six sixes in an over at a young age:

Next, we’ll talk about the youngest player who has ever hit two sixes in the same over. This was done by the English cricket player Anthony McMahon.

McMahon broke the record on May 24, 2003, when he was 13 years and 261 days old. At the Eppleton Cricket Club in Durham, UK, he played for Chester-le-Street against Eppleton.

    6. Fastest delivery of a cricket ball:

Shoaib Akhtar, who is 47 years old, used to play cricket for Pakistan and is now a commentator. He is known as the “Rawalpindi Express,” and he holds the record for throwing a cricket ball as fast as anyone else.

Akhtar was the first bowler on record to throw a ball at 100 miles per hour. He did this not just once, but twice. But at the World Cup in 2003, he set the record for the fastest bowling speed.

    5. 264 runs was the greatest ODI score:

Rohit Sharma, an international cricketer from India and the current captain of the Indian team, comes in at number 5. People think that the 35-year-old is one of the best batsmen in limited-overs cricket.

In 2014, Sharma had the best score in an ODI with 264 runs off 173 balls. At the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, the Indian cricket team played against the Sri Lankan team.

    4. 1300 international wickets:

People think that Muttiah Muralitharan is one of the best bowlers who has ever played international cricket. The 50-year-old former Sri Lankan player has taken more wickets than anyone else in the history of Test cricket. When he retired, Muralitharan had taken 1347-800 wickets in Tests, 534 wickets in ODIs, and 13 wickets in T20Is. Because of this, he became the cricket player with the most wickets in international play.

In 2002, Muralitharan was named the best Test match bowler by Wisden’s Cricketer’s Almanack. He was also the first cricket player from Sri Lanka to be put in the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. Many fans and critics agree that it’s unlikely that any other player will beat his record.

    3. The highest 400-runs Test innings score:

We’re down to the top 3, and Brian Lara, who used to play cricket for Trinidad and Tobago on the international level, is on the third spot. He is now 53 years old, and most people agree that he was one of the best batsmen ever.

Lara has the record for the most runs scored in a Test innings, with 400. After scoring 400 not out in a Test innings at Antigua during the 4th Test against England in 2004, he came up with the form.

    2. Averages of 99.94 in Test cricket:

Sir Don Bradman’s record is on our number 2 spot. He is widely thought to be the best batsman of all time. He was born on August 27, 1908, and his test score of 99.94 is an amazing record.

Bradman played baseball professionally for 20 years. During his career, he took part in 52 Tests and scored a total of 6996 runs. That means that the average is an amazing 99.94.

    1. 100 International Centuries:

And the number one spot goes to Sachin Tendulkar, the Master Blaster. The Indian cricketer, who is 49 years old, is known as one of the best batsmen in cricket history. Tendulkar is one of the cricketers who is most loved and even worshipped. He has done a lot of great things and won a lot of awards, but his record of 100 international centuries in cricket is the most impressive thing he has done.

    Top 10 Facts Cricket

    1. Wool was used to make the original cricket ball

Even though no one knows for sure where cricket came from, it seems likely that shepherds played it as a way to pass the time while keeping an eye on a flock. When we first heard about cricket, we thought that the balls were made of cotton and that the bowlers were too slow. Cricket has been talked about in English history since 1597, when “cricket” was mentioned in a dispute over who owned a piece of land. But the first official cricket game didn’t happen until 1877. That’s more than 10,000 years ago.

2- White willow is used to make cricket bats

Can crickets ever be made out of the same stuff that crickets are made of? You can’t make a cricket ball out of old wood planks. Most bats in England are made from willows, which are known for being light. In particular, they are made of white willow, which is also known as cricket bat willow. The trees are native to West and Central Asia, and in the past, they have been used to make guns. The lighter wood makes it easier for batters to hit the ball where they want to.

3- The longest cricket game ever lasted 14 days

Can you make a list of the loudest crickets that were played at a certain time? Cricket can take a long time in England, where games usually last for hours and have to be stopped often because the weather is so unpredictable. The oldest cricket game ever played was between England and South Africa in 1939. Don’t worry, it was only 14 days. And the game had to be called a tie because the ship that was taking the British team home had already left. You won’t have to wait that long to make money from the best paying online casino in New Zealand in 2022, so give it a shot.

4- A batsman makes 100 runs without being dismissed to make a century

We will talk about cricket a little bit more. A century is an innings in which one batsman makes 100 runs without getting hit. That’s something I have a hard time doing. Alastair Cook is the only player in history to make it to age 38. But Indian star Sachin Tendulkar holds the all-time record, which is not that one. Tendulkar retired in 2013 after 100 years. People say that Tendulkar is the god of cricket.

5- The newest cricketer for England was only 17 years’ old

Wilfred Rhodes was the best English cricket player of all time. He showed up for the 58th and last time on April 12, 1930, when he was 51 years old. Is it really so cool? At age 17, Brian Close was England’s youngest cricket player. This is an interesting fact about the sport. Obviously, that’s nothing official. The youngest cricketer of his generation hasn’t played in over a hundred years.

6- Cricket Facts: it still be dangerous

Cricket is a sport that doesn’t involve physical contact, so injuries and deaths are very rare compared to sports like motor sports, boxing, and many others. In spite of this, there have been sad things that have happened. In 1624, an English player named Jasper Vinall was the first cricketer to die. Two weeks later, he died in a terrible way. Wilf Slack, a British player, died in the Gambia in 1989 while he was there to play cricket.

7- Only the cricket team from England has participated in more than 1000 Test matches

A cricket test match usually lasts five days and has four innings. During an innings, each player gets a chance to bat and score runs while the other team tries to throw out the batsmen. Over 1,000 cricket tests have been played all over the world by the British team. During the 2018 Test against India at Edgbaston, it happened. Read on to find out about the current England team.

8- The phrase “good innings” comes from cricket

Has anyone ever heard of “good” innings? It’s a British expression. How long is each one? Cricket was the source of the idea. This saying means that someone tried hard or did something for a long time. It comes from cricket, where players have “innings” that allow them to score a lot of runs. When you hear someone say “good innings,” think back to where cricket came from and how it started.

9- 111 is widely considered to be an unlucky score

Most likely, 111 is all the team needs to do. But most cricket fans thought that this score was a bad one. Some people think that the fact that 111 looks like a cricket wicket is a bad sign of something that could change in the future. It’s clear that the accusations are never proven, because it’s not a bad sign. I think that’s kind of strange, don’t you?

    10- Class meets Longevity

Sachin Tendulkar is India’s best cricket player. He started playing international cricket when he was 16 years old. Twenty-three cricket players from all over the world made their debuts in the same month. The last person to retire in New Zealand in 2005 was Chris Cairns. Sachin Tendulkar gave up his career earlier this year. It was a perfect example of how talented Sachin Tendulkar is.
