Records should be broken. In cricket, great performances have set records that are hard to break. These cricket records are unbreakable outside of the IPL.

10 Cricket Milestones that might never be surpassed:

Maiden T20 Super Over:

That’s true, though it’s hard to believe. Even getting a “dot ball” is hard, so playing a “maiden super” comes as a complete surprise. Sunil Narine, a spin bowler from the West Indies, was the first bowler to throw a maiden in a super over. In the 2014 edition of the Caribbean Premier League, both Red Steel and Guyana Amazon Warriors finished with 118/8 and 118/9 after 20 overs. A super over was set up to decide who won the match.

These kinds of things only happen once in a blue moon. Most of the time, this won’t happen again, at least not in the near future.

19 wickets in a Test Match:

Surprising but true. In 1956, when England played Australia in a test match, Jim Laker took 19 wickets. It was an amazing feat for the bowler to go through 68 overs of the game and only give up 90 runs. Even after so many years, the record still stands. It gets the top spot when talking about the most wickets taken by a cricketer in a test match. Even though Yasir Shah took 14 wickets in 2018, the record set by Laker is still the same and is thought to stay that way for good.

200 Test Matches:

IPLs seem to be more popular than Ranji Trophy or first-class cricket, since young players seem to be more interested in the shorter form of the game. But nothing beats the longest version of the game, and many people think test matches are the best way to play. And when people talk about test matches, it’s hard to forget that Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar played 200 test matches over the course of his 24-year career. Ricky Ponting’s 168 matches don’t show up on the list until after him.

1347 International Wickets:

Muttiah Muralitharan, a Sri Lankan cricketer, took 800 wickets in 133 tests, 534 wickets in 350 ODIs, and 13 wickets in 12 T20s. This is an amazing feat. He is the player with the most wickets in the history of cricket. He has taken 1347 wickets in international play, which is the most of any player. Shane Warne, on the other hand, is second on the list with a total of 1001 international wickets. This is almost 25% less than Muralitharan, who has the most wickets of anyone.

Test Career Batting Average of 99.94:

Don Bradman, an Australian cricketer, played in 52 games, scored 6996 runs, had 29 centuries and 13 fifties, and had a batting average of 99.94, which was a record. In 1948, he played in his last test match. No one has even tried to beat the record set by the player in more than seven decades. But right next to him is the young Australian Marnus Labuschagne, who has only scored 1459 runs so far but has an average of 63.43.

Bradman also got 100 runs in only 3 overs during his time playing cricket. The match between Blackheath and Lithgow took place in 1931. The legend made a century in only 18 minutes, which is a record that will never be broken in the history of cricket.

199 centuries in first-class cricket:

No, it’s not Sachin Tendulkar, the master blaster. He has scored the most centuries in international cricket, but English cricketer and opening batsman Sir Jack Hobbs has scored the most centuries in first-class cricket. The legend had 199 hundreds and 18 hundred for England in test matches.

Most first-class wickets:

Muralitharan got the most wickets in international cricket, but Wilfred Rhodes from England got 4204 wickets. He had the most wickets taken in first-class cricket. In his 30 years of playing cricket, which is also a record, he set a record that is not only hard to break but also impossible.

Three Double-Centuries in ODIs:

Rohit Sharma from India set a record by scoring three double centuries in ODIs. This record hasn’t been broken or matched yet, and it’s thought that it’s not likely to happen again.

World Cup Hat Trick Wins:

Australia has won three 50-over World Cups in a row, in 1999, 2003, and 2007. This is a record. All three teams were led by Ricky Steve Waugh, and the other two teams were led by Ricky Ponting. The former wicket-keeper of the team scored 50 or more runs in all three World Cup Finals for the same match, which set yet another record. The record set by the second person is also thought to be unbreakable. It’s not easy for the same team to make it to the World Cup finals three times in a row.

Captaincy at 50:

In 1899, Dr. William Gilbert Grace was the only cricketer to be captain at age 50. This was the last time he played against Australia in a test match. In the end, he gave the job of captain to Archie MacLaren.

Even though there are many things that different cricket players have done that are worth talking about and being proud of, the above 10 cricket records are the ones that sports fans are most likely to talk about when they get together.

These are some unbreakable records that have never been broken.
