In the Indian Premier League or any other cricket tournament, the Man of the Match award goes to the player who changes the game and puts pressure on the other team. Whether a team wins or loses depends on how well each player does in the situation he is given. The Man of the Match award goes to the player who had the most impact on the game and left a mark that people will remember.

From the start of the IPL in 2008 to 2022, let’s look at the players who won the most man of the match awards.

De Villiers, AB 25 out of 184 matches:

AB de Villiers, a right-handed batsman from South Africa, has won the most MOMs in the IPL. He was named Man of the Match 25 times in the Indian Premier League for how well he played. AB played for both the Delhi Daredevils and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 170 innings, he scored 5162 runs for an average of 39.71 runs per game. In the IPL, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gayle was named Man of the Match. In 141 innings, he scored 4965 runs, which is an average of 39.72. He was one of the IPL’s best and most dangerous batters. He began his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Rider and played his first IPL game against Delhi Capitals in 2008. This player from the Caribbean has hit 6 hundreds and 31 fifties in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma (18 in 221 Matches):

Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, has the third most Man of the Match awards in the history of the IPL. Sharma is the captain of the Mumbai Indians team, which is still looking for its first win in IPL 2022. In IPL, he has been named Man of the Match 18 times. In 155 innings, he has scored 5668 runs, with 4 centuries and 53 fifties for an average of 41.99. He was a very important and well-known player for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2016, Warner led Hyderabad all the way to the IPL final, where they beat RCB and won the title for the first time.

MS Dhoni (17 in 228 Matches):

MS Dhoni, who used to lead India, is fifth on the list of players who have won the Man of the Match award the most in IPL. When he played for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, MS Dhoni was named Man of the Match 17 times. Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings from the start of the IPL and the formation of the team until 2015.
