IPL 2008:

Kolkata Knight Riders was one of two teams to start the inaugural Indian Premier League season at Eden Gardens. Sourav Ganguly was the team captain and icon. Kolkata won their first two IPL matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Deccan Chargers. Brendon McCullum’s 158 in KKR’s debut match stunned the cricket world and helped the team win. Kolkata Knight Riders has won one tournament championship. This team is a dark horse because its performance has fluctuated. KKR underperformed in IPL 2020.
