Early life of Marco Jansen

In his formative years, Jansen opened the batting. Jansen made 164 not out in a 20-over contest when he was nine years old. While watching the game, his father noticed his son’s talent. Along with his twin brother Duan, he instructed Jansen in the nets. For North West, Duan plays cricket as well.

Domestic career of Marco Jansen:

On April 8, 2018, Jansen made his List A debut for North West in the CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge for the 2017–18 season. On October 11, 2018, he made his North West first-class debut at the CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup for the 2018–19 season. Prior to their tour of India in January 2019, Jansen was selected for the South Africa national under-19 cricket team. With 27 dismissals in six games, he was the top Wicket-taker for North West in the 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup.
