The Indian Premier League (IPL) got into a fierce bidding war

The 10 teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) got into a fierce bidding war to get the best players for the next IPL season. Teams fought to get their favorite players in what was called a “mini-IPL auction.” Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Cameron Green, and Mayank Agarwal were some of the most expensive players to buy. There were a total of 405 players in the auction pool, with a maximum of 87 spots to be filled. Teams had to choose 30 players from outside the United States. The sale took place in Kochi.

On Friday, England all-rounder Sam Curran became the most expensive player in IPL history when Punjab Kings bid a mind-boggling Rs 18.5 crore for him. Cameroon Green, an all-rounder from Australia, was the second-highest earner. Mumbai Indians bid Rs 17.5 crore for him. England’s Harry Brook, who bats in the middle of the order, won Rs 13.25 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Brook started at a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.
