Quetta Gladiators is a Pakistani professional T20 cricket team that plays in the Pakistan Super League PSL. Since the tournament’s first year in 2015, they have been in it, and this year, they won it. They play for the capital city of Balochistan. Most of their games have been at National Stadium Karachi, but Bugti Stadium is where they play at home.

Nadeem Omar is the one who owns the business. It has a lot of former international cricket players. For example, their Head Coach is the famous wicket-keeper batsman Moeen Khan, and their Assistant Coach is Abdul Razzaq. Their team manager is Azam Khan. Sarfraz Ahmed has scored the most runs for the team, and Muhammad Nawaz has taken the most wickets.
History of the Quetta Gladiators PSL:
Quetta’s first season had a lot of big names on the team. Their team included Kevin Peterson, Ahmed Shehzad, Grant Elliot, and Sarfraz Ahmed. They beat Islamabad United, Peshawar, and Karachi in their first three games. We had 12 points and came in second place in the points table because they won 6 of their 8 group games.
They got into the playoffs without much trouble. In the qualifying match, they beat Peshawar Zalmi by just one run. They lost to Islamabad United by 6 wickets, so they didn’t win the tournament. Instead, they came in second.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2 2017:
Before the next season started, Quetta switched up their players. They let go of Kumar Sangakkara and got a lot of new ones, like David Willey and Tymel Mills. In their first match, they beat Lahore Qalandars, which was a good start to their tournament run. As the tournament went on and the group stage ended, they won four of the eight games and tied one.
With 9 points, Gladiators came in second place on the points table. They made it to the play-offs, where they played Peshawar Zalmi. They beat them by 3 wickets and moved on to the finals. In the last game, they played against Peshawar again, and this time they lost. They again came in second place at the end of the tournament.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 3 2018:
In this season, Quetta’s first game was against Karachi Kings, and they lost. Before that, they had won every game they played. In their next game, they beat Lahore Qalandars by 9 wickets and got back on track. They won 5 of their 10 games and were in fourth place on the points table when the group stage was over.
They made it to the playoffs, but Peshawar Zalmi beat them in the elimination game by one run, which ended the tournament.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 4 2019:
Quetta Gladiators won their first game of the season by beating Peshawar Zalmi by 6 wickets. They won seven of the ten games in their group and had 14 points. Which put them in second place. Gladiators easily made it to the next round, the playoffs, and played Peshawar in the first qualifier match.
They beat Peshawar and moved on to the finals, where they will face Peshawar again. The final game was very close, but Quetta won by 10 runs to become the first PSL champions and take home the trophy.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 5 2020:
Gladiators came into this season as the defending champions. They beat Islamabad United in their first game but lost to Peshawar Zalmi in their second game. This time, Quetta didn’t do very well. They were knocked out in the group stage and ended up in fifth place on the points table.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 6 2021:
The team also had a terrible season this year. The Lahore Qalandars and the Multan Sultans beat the Quetta Gladiators in only two of their group games. With only 4 points, they came in last place at the tournament. Also, their NRR stayed low at 1.786.
Quetta Gladiators in PSL 7 2022:
Quetta Gladiators’ season got off to a bad start when they lost by 5 wickets to Peshawar. In their second game, they beat Karachi Kings by 8 wickets, which was a big win. They won 4 of their 10 games and got 8 points after the group stage, which put them in fifth place.
