T20 World Cup Records: ICC started the T20 World cricket world cup tournament. It started in 2007, and there have been 5 tournaments so far. At the moment, there are 16 teams in the championship: 10 full ICC members and 6 affiliate and associate members.
The event usually takes place every two years, and matches are played as T20 Internationals.
