Shane Keith Warne was a 1994 Wisden Cricketer of the Year. Ricky Ponting described his retirement as the “end of an era.” In 145 test matches from 1992 to 2007, he took 708 wickets in 273 innings, with best performances of 8/71 and 12/128.
