Chennai Super Kings scored 73 for 1 inside the first six overs of their seventh IPL 2022 match against Lucknow Super Giants. This is the highest Powerplay score in the IPL so far this season.
Robin Uthappa scored a gob-smacking 50 off 27 deliveries, and Moeen Ali added 35 off 22 deliveries. A 56-run partnership in only 30 balls gave CSK a solid platform in the match. This is only the fourth-highest Powerplay score in IPL history.

Best Power plays in IPL: In 2017, KKR scored 105 runs in the first six overs of their match against RCB, which is the most runs ever scored in the first six overs of an IPL match. Sunil Narine, who is especially dangerous in the power play, scored 54 runs in 16 balls, which at the time was the fastest half century in IPL history. Chris Lynn, on the other end of the batting order, added 49 runs in 20 balls.
During the power play, the two of them hit a total of eight sixes, which is tied for the highest number of sixes in an IPL power play to date.

This was mostly thanks to Virender Sehwag’s century, which was the highest score of the game. The number of runs scored by KXIP against SRH was the fifth most in the IPL during the power play. Things didn’t get off to a good start for KXIP because they lost Sehwag on the second ball of their innings. However, that didn’t stop Wriddhiman Saha from making 52 runs in 23 balls and Manan Vohra from making 29 runs in 11 balls.
KXIP was able to catch up to 205 with 8 balls to spare because of what they did in the power play. As was said above, their 13 fours during the power play are tied for the most fours scored in the IPL during the power play.
